Major Actions and Support Actions

Cost Opportunity Identification & Pipeline Management (40%)
• Develop and own the regional CI/VAVE cost-saving pipeline
with the support of plant CI managers. Systematically identify, screen, and prioritize cost-reduction opportunities across all AP plants
• Conduct deep-dive analyses into manufacturing processes, overhead structures, and product BOMs to uncover hidden cost drivers and savings potentials.
• Employ advanced analytical and benchmarking techniques, including cost breakdown analysis, “should-cost” modeling, and process mining, to quantify opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with Finance to establish robust tracking mechanisms and ensure all projects are tied to clear P&L impact

CI Leadership & Target Delivery (40%)

• Personally lead and mentor high-value projects to secure the annual CI/VAVE savings commitment. Focus on two main streams:
      - Operational CI: Drive projects in waste elimination, productivity improvement, energy efficiency, and overhead optimization using Lean Six Sigma tools.
       - VAVE / Material Cost: drive cross-functional teams (R&D, Purchasing, Quality) in design optimization, material substitution, part standardization, and specification refinement to achieve BOM cost reductions.
• Serve as the central point of accountability for reporting savings progress to regional and global leadership, ensuring 100% transparency and credibility of reported figures.

Capability Building & Cultural Promotion (20%)

• Build VAVE and cost-engineering competency within the regional CI network and engineering teams through targeted training and workshops.

• Coach and mentor plant CI leaders, engineers, and buyers on effective cost-identification techniques and project execution.

• Champion a culture of cost innovation by organizing challenge workshops, success story sharing
, and excellence Award process

Experience:

1.Minimum 8-10 years of combined experience in continuous improvement, cost engineering, or manufacturing engineering within automotive component manufacturing.

2.Proven track records are mandatory: Must demonstrate a history of personally identifying, leading, and delivering significant annual cost savings (both operational and BOM) in a multinational setting.

3.At least 3-5 years in a regional or multi-site role with responsibility for achieving quantified financial targets

4.Extensive hands-on experience with Lean, 6 Sigma, VAVE/Value Engineering methodologies and their practical application in a product development and sourcing environment
