We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a detailed-oriented Drafter within our Product Development Engineering team to help support our Home Furniture business.  Our Home Furniture business brings an intense focus on the customer, innovation, world-class manufacturing capabilities, and a global footprint together to create full package solutions for the industry.  We do not make furniture.  We make furniture more comfortable.  We need the best people on our team to support our strategy, and your work will ensure people around the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

 

As a Drafter, you will work closely with engineers and designers to create technical drawings, 3D models, prototypes and specs to bring product concepts to life. So, what will you be doing as a Drafter?

  • Create 2D drawings and 3D models of products using CAD software
  • Modify 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software
  • Maintain organized libraries of parts, drawings, and models
  • Ensure drawings and models meet quality standards
  • Assist design engineers during the prototyping process

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Associate's degree in Drafting/Design or related field preferred
  • 1+ years experience with CAD software like SolidWorks
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and machining processes
  • Strong technical drawing skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills
