So, what will you be doing as the Director of Finance?

  • Lead the finance and accounting function for the region.
  • Train, develop, and coach controller team by identifying skill gaps and drive training for optimal performance.
  • Lead regional compliance function and serve as next level reviewer and approver.
  • Supports the FP&A function with regional financial data and serve as key input into the financial planning process to improve accuracy and clarity.
  • Address reporting requests as needed.
  • Identify and lead regional initiative to improve processes and profitability.
  • Act as a key contributor to management reviews of reports including financial reporting and guidance.

 

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • 4 years University degree in accounting, finance, business, or related; MBA,
  • CMA or CPA preferred
  • 10+ years of finance and accounting leadership within a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred) spanning various facilities and countries
  • Experience in activities such as financial close, budgeting/forecasting, internal controls, internal and external audit management, ad hoc analysis, management reporting, US GAAP, and taxation
  • Ability to lead a remote North American team and demonstrated experience developing talent
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, familiarity with Microsoft D365 preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail and process
  • High integrity and ethical standards, and an ability to handle confidential information
  • Travel to North American assembly plants, meetings, etc / 10% – 20%
