Supply Chain Project Manager

As a Supply Chain Project Manager for Leggett & Platt, Incorporated Adjustable Bed Group, you will be responsible for the procurement of raw material and services on a global scale and inventory requirements at our three manufacturing facilities in North America.


So, what will you be doing as a Supply Chain Project Manager?

· Defines the scope and objective of the project in collaboration with the supply chain team member responsible, including but not limited to chartering, scoping, requirements gathering, document approval tracking and management, project plan creation, status reporting, issue resolution, project resource allocation, project costs and financial analysis, and benefits validation

· Monitors the progress of the project using the appropriate tools and project management techniques and make changes as necessary.

 · Establishes a communication schedule to update stakeholders and management in the organization on the progress of the project.

· Reviews the quality of work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure it meets the project standards.

· Ensures that all project information is appropriately documented and secured and available for review. · Determines the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.

· Designs, communicates, and implements a detailed project plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.

 · Conduct project meetings and prepare reports on the project and project savings/avoidances for management and finance organization.

· Understand customer needs and objectives to ensure requirements are covered.

· Ensure timelines are created and the team is tracking to the timeline, reports shortfalls as needed

· Manage agendas and meeting recaps/minutes to ensure all project tasks and goals are being accomplished as expected

· Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality

· Evaluates the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.

· Performs risk management to minimize project risks and escalates to management as needed.

· All other duties as assigned.


To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, finance, or business administration is required

· PMP and/or Lean Sigma certifications preferred

· 5 - 8 years’ experience managing large, complex enterprise projects, particularly those involving a medium to significant degree of change across the organization

· Global Supply chain experience

· Strong business acumen and problem-solving ability

· Proven ability to define and execute change strategies

 · Proven ability to influence and manage internal & external resources in a highly matrix’ d environment

· Proven ability to address competing priorities within a single project with a positive, can-do attitude

· Proven business analytical capabilities to solve complex business issues

· Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure in a fast[1]paced environment · Excellent oral and written communication skills needed to communicate with all levels of the organization, including international sites and time zones

· Proficiency Microsoft Office, Project and Visio programs

· Travel as needed (less than 10%)

· End to end supply chain understanding including manufacturing, planning, order management, inventory control, logistics/distribution, accounts receivable
