Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking a MACHINIST  at our Sunrise, FL manufacturing facility

What you’ll do

• In addition to verbal instructions, work from engineering drawings/blueprints, schematics,

 sketches, work instructions, and procedures.

• Set up and operate a variety of machine shop equipment and hand tools to produce complex, close tolerance material that conforms to specifications. 
• Design tools, fixtures, jigs, and develop machining processes in order to continuously improve the quality of the product, reduce variability, and improve productivity within the department.
• Lift, move, and position various materials such as steels, cast iron, aluminum, etc.
• Ensure that non-conforming material is not used or allowed to pass to a subsequent operation/department.

Minimum qualifications

• Experience with milling machines, drill presses and grinders.
• Lathe experience a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational Training preferred
