Field Service Technician

Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking a Field Services Technician at our Gribetz International location in Sunrise, Florida. This role requires 75% travel, both domestic and international, so the ideal candidate will need to hold a passport. What you’ll do
- Prevent occurrences of any non-conformities related to product, process or the system
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and the quality system
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels
- Verify the implementation of solutions
- Control further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition is corrected
- Coordinate with sales, design, operations and customer service to meet customer needs
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and retrofit Global Systems Group machinery and equipment
- Continuously improve the process of servicing the customer
- Set-up machinery at customer’s location
- Train customers / operators on operation of machinery
- Train customers / maintenance personnel on maintenance of machinery
- Review troubleshooting techniques with customer
- Inspect and replace defective parts/items
- Recommend additional parts/items needing replaced
- Review work performed with customer to verify work is to customer satisfaction
- Identify, record, and discuss any problems relating to the product, process, or quality
- Provide solutions, improvements, and/or recommendations as needed
Minimum qualifications
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
- Ability to perform occasional weekend work when required
- High school or GED
- Experience in mechanical/electrical field
- Possess technical/mechanical skills, good customer relations skill and work ethic
- Detailed oriented, with safety in mind
- Ability to interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and manuals
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree or training
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Adaptable to changing project situations, product lines, and customers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
