The Manager – Program Procurement, will be accountable for:

Reporting to the Director – Procurement Asia Pacific, this position will be responsible for leading the Program Procurement organization to implement LPA’s category strategies within new product development programs, achieving all major deliverables required by the program.  This position will interface with stakeholders outside of the procurement organization to understand program needs and develop the internal capabilities to support those needs.  This position will be responsible for developing talent within the Asia Pacific Program Procurement organization, and ensure the team  sources raw materials and components at the optimal overall cost while meeting technical, timing, and quality requirements of the programs.


The Manager – Program Procurement will work closely with the Category Management & Supplier Quality & Development teams to implement sourcing strategies for new product developments, with the External Logistics team to stablish the most efficient sourcing locations and movement of goods, and with program teams to ensure alignment to their needs. 

This position will be responsible for creating and promoting synergy among all operational groups of the global Supply Chain, Procurement, & Supplier Development function, helping to ensure organizational results are delivered in accordance with the functional strategy and Company Core Values.

The successful candidate will help other business functions succeed by serving as a partner and view the other business functions as key customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

•    Lead and manage the Asia Pacific Program Procurement team, providing regular goals, performance feedback and coaching to help the team meet their requirements.
•    Responsible to lead the execution of the category strategies within AP new product developments, at the direction of the Category Manager(s).  
•    Responsible to achieve all major program deliverables (cost, quality, timing, and service)
•    Lead the Asia Pacific sourcing committee meeting, ensuring compliance with the global standard process, and completeness and accuracy of the data presented.  
•    Ensure contracts are executed which reflect the results of sourcing initiatives that adequately manage business and supply risks with appropriate legal terms and conditions.
•    Ensure the interface between the Program and the Suppliers; work with Category management to integrate suppliers as early as possible in the program.   Work with selected suppliers to propose design / cost improvement ideas to benefit the program.
•    Manage the team to secure cost and timing objectives during the product development, working closely with Supplier Quality and Development.
•    Provide the necessary support, information, and updates to the program core team.     

Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Finance ,Engineering related field.(working experience of metal & plastic category is considered as a plus).
•    MBA with quantitative background or related field (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered).
•    Previous analytic qualification or experience is essential.
•    Full professional proficiency in English and Mandarin. 
•    5+ years’ experience in a similar role; 10+ years total relevant work experience.
•    Experience in one or more of the following areas (or combination thereof):
o    Automotive industry
o    Manufacturing
o    Logistics and Supply Chain
•    Experience working in a US Multi-national company will be considered a plus.
•    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all cross functional teams. 
•    Strong ability to move between tactical and strategic aspects of business.
•    Proven ability to set direction, clearly articulate a strong point of view and influence others.
•    Experience with Siemens Team Center (Supplier Collaboration), Business Intelligence (BI), or Siemens Product Costing considered a plus.
