We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Senior Financial Analyst to help support our Aerosapce business. At L&P Aerospace, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interactions. How high are our quality standards, you ask? So much so, that we have products on-board the Space Launch System with NASA, as well as the F-15 and F-35 fighter jets! This is a global role supporting the Aerospace business unit. Position is fully remote with occasional travel.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Financial Analyst will support and provide insight into the Financial Planning
and Analysis process for product line reporting. This role is responsible for the accurate completion of monthly,
annual and long-term forecasting to ensure cost-effective operations within the guidelines set by LPA. This role will
complete analysis of current data and provide recommendations for improvements. They will assist in the
completion of relevant Business Plans and audit the effectiveness of actual performance. This role will be
responsible for ensuring the use of streamlined modeling in coherence with global standardization.
This role will often be called upon to present relevant data & summaries to function
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Analysis Functions:
- Analysis on past results to identify trends
- Make recommendations for optimization, improvements, and standardization
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with Annual Operating plan and rolling forecasts
Branch Assistance Functions:
- Coach branches on process improvements on forecast accuracy for; P&L, Working Capital and Cash.
- Assist with existing and creation of new analytical modeling
- Assist with process improvements with forecast accuracy
- Policy compliance
- Remediation of audit findings
- Analytical modeling
- Troubleshooting issues and proposing actionable solutions
- Assist with collection and analytics of various branch level KPI’s
- Provide guidance on adherence to the S&OP process
- Accurately summarize and compile branch information into business unit consolidations. Work with branches to logically explain variance at an appropriate level
Other Functions:
- Report financial performance variances, preparing summaries to present to business leadership for review, participating in key meetings with business unit leadership
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
- Increase productivity by developing automated standardized reporting & forecasting tools
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
- Work with the team on optimizing and standardizing costing methodologies and records
- Work closely with finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and consistency with FP&A consolidated objectives
- Liaison between finance and other departments as required
- Help to maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and functions
- Familiarity with Access & SQL a plus
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- 3-5+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
- BA, BS, or B.Com degree required (Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Statistics are preferred major fields)
- High proficiency in financial modeling techniques
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency
- Experience working with, and presenting to, senior executives
- Strong financial modeling experience
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIRED:
- MBA preferred
