We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Routing Coordinator within our Customer Service team to help support our Flooring business. As a Routing Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in the flow of orders between Sales, Production, Shipping, and Traffic. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring accurate order processing, efficient routing, and exceptional customer communication. The team you will be working with is collaborative, detail‑oriented, and service‑driven, and values strong communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork.

 

So, what will you be doing as a Routing Coordinator?

• Process order acknowledgements and manifest orders received from 1701 Coordinators
• Coordinate with Traffic, Scheduling, and Production teams on load requirements, changes, cancellations, and special delivery needs
• Confirm orders with customers, including delivery hours, receiving contacts, and COD requirements
• Route trucks, assign orders to correct routes, and calculate mileage and hours using PC Miler
• Run daily open‑order reports and verify all orders received at the branch
• Maintain and update customer information spreadsheets
• Assist with phone coverage and general customer service needs
• Enter orders into mold scheduling and maintain daily mold schedules
• Run production labels and revise schedules as needed
• Ensure accurate documentation, filing, and confidentiality
• Support safety, housekeeping, and compliance with all Leggett & Platt policies
• Identify and report nonconforming products or processes and help implement corrective actions

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to coordinate across multiple departments in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency with basic computer programs (Excel, Word)
• Ability to learn internal systems and processes
• Commitment to accuracy, safety, and process compliance

 

Things we consider a plus

• Experience in customer service, logistics, routing, or manufacturing
• Familiarity with PC Miler, Workday, or similar systems
• Prior experience coordinating between production, traffic, and customer service teams
