We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Mold Supervisor within our Mold Department team to help support our Flooring Products business unit. As a Mold Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to lead day‑to‑day mold department operations, supervise and develop employees, and ensure production is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by supporting production output, maintaining quality and safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement within the Mold Department. The team you will be working with is hands‑on, collaborative, and production‑focused, and values safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
So, what will you be doing as a Mold Supervisor?
- Oversee Mold Department shift operations and ensure production requirements are met
- Supervise, train, and support mold department employees
- Ensure employees have the proper tools, materials, and instructions to perform work safely and correctly
- Maintain product quality in accordance with Leggett & Platt requirements, work instructions, and control plans
- Troubleshoot and resolve production, equipment, and quality issues
- Remain present on the production floor during regular working hours
- Participate in developing and updating work instructions and procedures
- Enforce all safety, quality, and company policies, including PPE and LOTO requirements
- Identify and address non‑conforming products and initiate corrective actions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support ISO 9001 and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned by Production or Branch leadership
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid math skills (advanced math required)
- Ability to read and use standard measuring tools (tape measure, gauges, etc.)
- Computer literacy
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work safely and consistently while enforcing safety rules
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed
Things we consider a plus:
- Prior molding or foam manufacturing experience
- Experience with quality systems and ISO standards
- Forklift or industrial equipment experience
- Familiarity with safety programs such as OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, and Machine Guarding
