As a Senior Data Architect you will have the opportunity to help drive our data strategy and analytics capabilities.  Your contribution will have a direct impact on the business by leveraging Microsoft Fabric to store and manage enterprise data models. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, data modeling, and Power BI.   

So, what will you be doing as a Senior Data Architect?

  • Provide leadership and strategy guidance around scalable data warehouse solutions.
  • Develop and optimize semantic data models for analytics and reporting.
  • Lead the adoption and best practices of Microsoft Fabric for storing and managing data models.
  • Administration and governance around the Power BI application.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable solutions.
  • Ensure data governance, quality, and security standards are upheld.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data and analytics and ability to present that to IT leadership.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • 5 to 7+ years of experience working with data and related tools
  • Proven experience designing and managing ETL processes using modern data engineering platforms (e.g., Databricks, Apache Spark, or similar)
  • Ability to build scalable pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and integration across diverse sources
  • Hands-on experience with data warehouse architecture and implementation
  • Strong expertise in data modeling (star/snowflake schemas, normalization, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Power BI including DAX, Power Query, and report design
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouses, Warehouses, and OneLake
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance principles
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

Things we consider a plus:

  • Working knowledge around Fabric Data Agents
  • Experience with Azure Synapse, Dataverse, or other Microsoft data services
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for data solutions
  • Leadership experience in data teams or cross-functional projects
  • Experience with Power Platform integrations
