POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Payroll Services Manager position will play a critical role in managing the UKG Pro payroll data and related systems to ensure accurate and compliant payroll administration across our US and Canada locations.  This role will support data management and process improvement initiatives, resolve payroll-related issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to help implement and maintain the UKG Pro payroll system across our U.S. and Canadian operations.  This role requires expertise in payroll systems, regulatory compliance, and a continuous improvement mindset with high standards of service excellence.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS  

  • Partner with Payroll, HR, Accounting, IT, and Operations stakeholders to identify, document, and align business process requirements.
  • Manage payroll data within UKG Pro system and ensure accuracy in broader payroll processes, with strong knowledge of data management principles, including data hierarchies, transaction data, and data integrations.
  • Proactively takes initiative to identify process improvements, recommends solutions, and drives work forward.
  • Develop and support Business Intelligence (BI) Analytics and Reporting.
  • Support integration and maintenance of UKG Pro payroll, including security roles, data extraction, and reporting from HR systems and end users. 
  • Provide payroll technical and data support before, during, and after system implementations.
  • Develop and deliver end-user training content for HR and payroll processes.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to drive process improvements and user adoption.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll processes and controls.
  • Perform security and workflow audits to ensure compliance and data integrity.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 7+ years of hands-on payroll experience (security, reporting, processing, configurations, troubleshooting), preferably with UKG Pro payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian payroll regulations, taxation, and compliance.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate business needs into functional design.
  • Proven expertise in payroll systems and payroll administration.
  • Experience developing and delivering end-user training and documentation.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional system design and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and in hybrid project environments.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with payroll systems, continuous improvement and process change, system requirements documentation, and change management.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve payroll data / process related issues.
  • Proficiency in utilizing payroll and data management tools.
  • Experience with large, multi-entity, or global organizations.
  • UKG Pro certification(s) in Payroll and other Timekeeping / HR modules.
