We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Director Sustainability within our Automotive business. Our automotive products fall into five primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support, Electronics & Software, Motors and Actuators, and Mechanical Cables. As Director Sustainability, you will develop and drive the long term strategic direction of the sustainability Agenda across the Automotive Business.It will identify opportuites across the business and provide guidance to the president of Automotive and the leadership team on strategies to ensure a greener footprint. The jobholder has primary respnsibility for identifying, documenting and coordinating the sustainability strategy and related policies and procudures across the organisaion. Ensuring the automotive manufacturing landscape builds it's readiness for the future.  Support discussions with Customers and Suppliers as to our roadmap and interface with 3rd party portals.

So, what will you be doing as Director Sustainability:

  • Establish the Sustainability organisation. Define the Automotive ESG Strategy, People and Process capabilities, technology and estalish reportable KPI's
  • Establish a centre of excellence to develop, oversee, implement and maintain the Automotive Sustainability Policy
  • Monitor the ESG regulatory landscape and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Develop a reporting policy and process and implement standard controls across the Automotive business
  • Define and implement ESG standards for Customers, ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Provide innovative solutions and promote Sustainability strategy within L&P and externally
  • Collaborate and Influence other functions to ensure the adhereance to and development of the sustainability operation
  • Develop solution to reduce the negative environmental impacts agaist ongoing Operational Strategies

 

To Be Successful In This Role, You’ll Need:

  • Masters / Bachelors Degree in Sustainabiity, Enviromental Sciences, Enviromental Management, Energy Management, Enviromental Engineering or related fields
  • Minimum 10 Years experince in Sustainability
  • Strong background in Automotive
  • Experience of ESG Regulatory Reporting and Frameworks
  • Experience of Developing and implementing internal conrols and managing external bodies
  • Well connected with Industry experts
  • Innovative
  • Ability to influence arossd other functional areas
  • String data management to analyse complex technical data
  • Excellent verbal and Written Communication
  • Ability to deliver in a fast paced environmen
  • Advanced Microsoft skills
