REPORTS TO: Shipping Supervisor


BASIC FUNCTIONS: Organize shipping department. Assist shipping material handler, and customer service to insure shipments are loaded accurately and efficiently.



• Check in and out drivers logging specific information and work with shipping material handlers to load appropriate shipments.

• Prepare shipping documents including UPS, LTLs and live loads.

• Understand and utilize streamline shipping process.

• Professionally assist customer service and Leggett and Platt logistics with questions that arise.

• Understand and practice the policies and procedures for LP9000 and CPI.

• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformity related to the product, process, and quality system.

• Initiate & record any problems relation to the product and process and the quality system.

• Initiate recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.

• Verify the implementations of solutions.

• Control further processing delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

• Conform to all safety, quality, and procedural requirements.

• Complete all other duties as assigned



• High school diploma or equivalent

• 3 to 5 years of experience

• Well organized

• Good communication and people skills

• Able to efficiently read and write

• Basic mathematics skills

• The ability to be multi-tasked

• Must be able to count & read well enough to identify parts.

• Must have good work attitude & ethics.
