REPORTS TO: Team Leader / Shift Supervisor

 

BASIC FUNCTION: To retrieve materials and set up the assembly line in accordance with the bill of materials in an organized and efficient manner.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Conform to all safety and quality requirements and procedures.

• Follow the assembly schedule to ensure that shipments are on time and complete.

• Understand and practice correct procedures for handling nonconforming material.

• Operate and maintain material handling equipment

• Understand and practice the correct procedures for RF scanning.

• Assist in keeping work areas clean and organized by using good housekeeping practices.

• Assist the pack out line in banding and moving beds off line and storing in the proper area.

• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities related to product, process, and the quality system.

• Identify and/or record any problems related to the product, process, and the quality system.

• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.

• Verify the implementation of solutions.

• Control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

• Understand and practice the policies and procedures for LP9000:2006 Management System and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI).

• All other duties assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Communicate effectively.

• Must be able to read and write.

• Must be able to obtain a material handlers license.

• Meet physical demands including:

• Ability to lift 75 lbs.

• Perform work in confined spaces.

• Functions consistent with required material handling activity
