About Our Team:
At Leggett & Platt Automotive, our Testing team plays a key role in validating seat comfort systems and their components through the execution of functional and endurance tests. In close collaboration with engineering and development teams, we analyze, document, and evaluate test results, contributing to accurate reporting and continuous improvement of testing processes and methods. Our work helps ensure high-quality, reliable, and comfortable seating solutions for leading automotive OEMs worldwide.
In This Role:
As a Testing Intern (m/f/d), you will support our development team in validating modern seating comfort systems for the automotive industry.
You will work directly on prototypes and production components and gain insights into development and validation processes.
Additionally, you will work alongside experienced testing staff and gain experience in an internationally active company.
So, what will you be doing as a Testing Intern (m/f/d)?
- Assisting with the execution of tests on seat comfort systems and their components
- Conducting various functional and endurance tests
- Maintaining test setups and test benches
- Analyzing, documenting, and evaluating test results
- Assisting in the preparation of test reports
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of test processes and methods
- Additional duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Currently pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Ideally, some knowledge of measurement technology or data analysis
- Analytical and structured approach to work, as well as a strong willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good German and English language skills
