We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Supplier Management Engineer within our Purchasing team to help support our Hydrolic  business.  Over the last 45 years, PHC has built a reputation as a world-class hydraulic cylinder manufacturer through our superior quality control and innovation. PHC is a leading supplier of hydraulic cylinders for material handling, construction, agriculture, and transportation markets.  If you join our team, your work will ensure customers across the world have high-quality products they can use to keep their businesses running.

As a Supplier Management Engineer you will have the opportunity to lead/support supplier certification processes.  

Main Responsibilities:

- Lead/support supplier certification processes.
- Support the search and selection of suppliers for new components (and spare parts), ensuring they meet company standards.
- Ensure that suppliers understand and comply with company requirements, drawings, and specifications and adhere to industry regulations and company standards
- Provide ongoing technical support and clarification to suppliers as needed.
- Assist suppliers in developing and maintaining robust quality control processes including continuous improvement.
- Perform audits of supplier facilities and processes to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the purchasing team to ensure informed decision-making.
- Support quality management activities and inspections for purchasing, ensuring components meet quality standards.
- Facilitate and support effective communication and collaboration between suppliers and internal teams.
