We invite you to explore our Sourcing Manager opportunity for our company, Leggett & Platt, Inc. (NYSE: LEG).
You will partner with our Corporate and purchase teams to ensure the Sourcing excellence of the group and the factory. You will be based onsite at our Ningbo, China location.
Description
The Sourcing Manager establishes the supplier management system and is responsible for the Strategic Sourcing of all projects of the Group and the factory.
To be qualified for this position, you must have experience in manufacturing procurement management, cost awareness, numerical analysis skills, and negotiation skills. You must be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and clearly explain its solution.
The goal is to provide strategic implementation of China supply base to meet performance request in the aspects of Q, C, D, S to support the enterprise.
Job responsibilities:
- According to the company's development strategy and business objectives, establish and improve the sourcing management system and organize the implementation and supervision.
- Responsible for sourcing work of direct and indirect material including Capex for Pacoma FH, and in parallel provide the sourcing support to whole LPH group for all China sourcing activities.
- Lead sourcing engineers to make and implement commodity strategy.
- Responsible for the development and management of suppliers, establish an efficient supplier management system, conduct regular monthly assessment and annual evaluation of suppliers, and develop competitive
supplierssupply base.
- Responsible for the material cost control and contract management including not limited with price negotiation, signing, tracking and maintenance of the purchase contract, and regularly summarizing the purchase price change information.
- Make effective use of various resources, timely grasp market information, regularly analyze market trends, characteristics and development trends, and timely adjust procurement strategies.
- Strengthen the construction of procurement team and improve the business ability of procurement personnel.
8. Complete other tasks assigned by superior leaders.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or above, major in machinery and manufacturing, mechatronic integration, electrical automation, etc.
- More than 10 years purchasing management experience in large manufacturing enterprises is preferred.
- Experience in procurement management of large metal manufacturing enterprises, familiar with procurement management, operation procedures and risk control of manufacturing enterprises, with strong business development and pressure resistance ability.
- Familiar with contract regulations and business negotiations, good market cognition ability and procurement system planning and implementation ability.
- Familiar with supplier development and management, independently leading supplier qualification, capability assessment and risk identification.
- Strong cost awareness, data analysis ability and supplier resource integration ability.
- Have a keen insight into market conditions and judgment and decision-making ability, good at cross-department communication.
- Have good professional ethics and rigorous working habits.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficient in office software, SAP experience. And other data analysis tool.
