As a Maintenance/Facilities Manager, you will be ensuring safe and continuous availability of manufacturing equipment and facility through planned and unplanned maintenance activities. You will supervise the day-to-day maintenance employees, maintenance issues, electrical maintenance, and preventative maintenance.

So, what will you be doing as a(n) Maintenance Manager?
- Perform routine building inspections. Evaluate conditions, then generate work assignments as needed to maintain building in serviceable condition.
- Monitors work completion and performance by contractors
- Understand safety and manufacturing improvement programs.
- Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs in all areas.
- Participate in environmental projects as needed.
- Ensure ISO compliance in maintenance related areas.
- Monitor all internal systems for accuracy and compliance with company goals and expectations.
- Provides technical consultation on specific facility engineering problems.
- Make recommendations to correct problems that could hinder a machine's performance, reduce output, or affect quality.
- Conform to all Quality/Safety requirements and procedures.
- Ensure a clean and orderly workplace is kept.
- Confer with management, production, and plant staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
- Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities, and communicate objectives with all department managers.
- Analyze technology, resource needs, plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
- Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
- Know and understand all company policies.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent or equivalent combination of education and min. of six years increasingly responsible experience in plant maintenance, facilities maintenance, and management, including special emphasis on project management and supervision.
- Knowledge of plant/facilities engineering management techniques; construction and design of buildings and facilities system modifications; knowledge of building and safety codes and energy conservation techniques.
- Technical capability and understanding
- Profit and Loss responsibilities for maintenance.
- Ability to provide leadership and direction to employees; interact effectively with others; write clear, concise reports; design and administer complex facilities projects; provide in-house training of personnel; be flexible in work assignments.
- Ability to maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include standing or sitting for extended periods of time and operating assigned equipment.
- Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information, in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
- Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have cooperative attitude and work effectively.
- Must be able to work well with and direct others.
- Must have excellent mechanical aptitude and cause and effect analytical skills.
- Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. And ability to be flexible with work schedule/hours.
- Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
- Quantity - Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity.
- Safety - Observes all safety procedures and policies; Reports potentially unsafe conditions to supervisor; Uses equipment and materials properly.
- Basic knowledge of electrical controls, with Siemen’s experience preferred.
- Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.
