We, at Leggett & Platt, are searching for a Maintenance Technician within our Flooring Products team to support our Flooring business. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in keeping our manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently. Your contributions will directly impact production uptime, equipment reliability, and overall plant performance. You'll join a collaborative, hands-on team that values safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
So, what will you be doing as a Maintenance Technician?
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Install and repair motors, relays, sensors, wiring, and other industrial electrical components.
- Perform welding and fabrication work to support equipment repairs and improvements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Level 3 Electrotechnical Services qualification or equivalent technical training.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification.
Things we consider a plus
- Multi-craft maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, machining, or pipe fitting.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
Hourly pay range is $23.00 to $29.00 depending on experience.
