Quality Manager

As a Quality Manager you will have the opportunity to oversee the quality process to ensure consistent standards.  Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring all products meet customer expectations and demands.  You will be an important part of the Branch Management Team. The team you will be working with is collaborative, hardworking, innovative, and values strategic minded, success driven individuals. 

So, what will you be doing as a Quality Manager?

  • Act as the Champion and Administrator of the Branch Quality System.
  • Review and Process Quality Data using statistical analysis to drive change in the quality and manufacturing process.
  • Communicate changes in the manufacturing process to supervisors and employees in a timely manner to ensure the manufacturing of quality product.
  • Train new hires on the Quality of Product and the Quality System.
  • Collaborate with Branch leadership to coordinate and implement proper changes.
  • Work with Customer Service and the Customer(s) on Quality issues or Concerns with potential for Customer visits.
  • Determine the issuance of credit for Customer Returns.
  • Review and dispose of nonconforming products
  • Participate in and be committed to the Continuous Improvement, Quality, Safety, and TPM processes.
  • Provide support in your work position for Total Productive Manufacturing’s (TPM’s) goal of maintaining in a “like new” condition with no safety concerns and no breakdowns.
  • Oversee our Quality System documentation.
  • Supervise, train, direct, and evaluate work activity of QA Facilitators and the Quality Coordinator on all shifts.
  • Develop and maintain inspection plans as well as system level procedures.

 

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience within quality
  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, or an associated quality-based system
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Experience with Infinity QMS, Mini Tab, or other similar quality data collection and analysis programs. 
  • Keen problem decision-making skills
  • Strong time management
  • Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Must be able to understand, fill out, and train all necessary partners on paperwork such as quality records, labor scanning reports, and inventory control

  • Ability to be trained/certified to operate a forklift.
  • MRPII knowledge
  • Six Sigma Black belt
