At L&P Aerospace, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interaction.

 

After our materials have gone through the necessary processes, we are left with high-performance finished goods that are ready to be incorporated into assemblies for our customers.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Accountant analyzes various transactions, prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial records including account reconciliations. This position offers an opportunity for growth as additional responsibilities are achieved.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for month-end and year-end closings
  • Prethe paring journal entries, A/R collections & processing, analyses, account reconciliations and performing monthly close processes
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Cash and treasury reconciliations and forecasting
  • Processing fixed assets and maintaining depreciation schedules
  • Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
  • Meeting processing and reporting deadlines
  • Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements
  • Managing/working with internal auditors
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP, SOX Controls and internal policies.
  • Assisting Controller and Business Partners as needed
  • Supplier and customer account reconciliations
  • Manage annual inventory, becoming the expert at how inventory items are created, maintained, and affect general ledger accounts
  • Interface with Parent Company Team Members
  • Monitor time tracking and correct as required
  • Observe, improve, and document processes
  • Assist with A/P process as necessary
  • Back-up for payroll processing

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize workday/projects independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Highly organized and meticulous

 

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:   

  • Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience including cost
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Proficiency with company accounting software, Epicor preferred
  • Proficiency with Hyperion Financial Management
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
