At L&P Aerospace, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interaction.

 

After our materials have gone through the necessary processes, we are left with high-performance finished goods that are ready to be incorporated into assemblies for our customers.

As a General Manager, you will have the opportunity to manage the overall operation within a high-product mix, low-volume aerospace business.  Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by providing leadership through operational excellence. The team you will be working with are seasoned professionals who truly care about the work they are doing and value a people-focused leader who can help take their business to the next level. 

 

So, what will you be doing as a General Manager?

  • Develop and execute plans to improve and maintain stability of financial performance
  • Monitor key performance indicators for quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and cost management
  • Oversee Sales order administration & Operations Planning activities
  • Optimize production scheduling to meet customer delivery requirements while maintaining efficient resource utilization and limiting arrears
  • Implement suitable cost performance indicators and demonstrate achievement of operational efficiency improvements
  • Ensure strict adherence to AS9100 quality management system requirements.
  • Drive a zero-defect culture through the implementation of robust quality control processes.
  • Achieve satisfactory reporting, including projection submission, variance explanations, and monthly business reviews
  • Oversee regulatory compliance and provide suitable interaction with government and regulatory bodies
  • Complete appropriate capital expenditure requests and justify recommended investments accordingly
  • Hire, train, develop, and provide leadership and mentoring to the branch management team, putting in place suitable succession planning activities where needed
  • Drive conformance to company policies and achieve satisfactory audit performance
  • Drive a safety culture to ensure a safe working environment for all employees

 

To be successful in this role, you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Aerospace, or related field.
  • 7-10 years' progressive manufacturing management experience; minimum five years experience as a people leader
  • Strong understanding of aerospace industry standards (AS9100, NADCAP, etc.) strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and quality metrics
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong financial acumen and business management capabilities
  • Ability to build and maintain a high-performing team through employee engagement, coaching, and accountability
