The Quality function ensures products, processes, and systems consistently meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal expectations. Quality Engineering partners closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations to drive defect prevention, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement.

 

This internship is a key part of our talent development strategy, focused on building a strong pipeline of Quality Engineers by engaging early‑career talent through hands‑on experience, mentorship, and real accountability.

 

As a Quality Engineer Intern, you will support Quality Engineering activities while gaining exposure to core quality tools, processes, and manufacturing environments. This role is intentionally designed to develop early‑career talent and create a pathway into long‑term Quality Engineering roles.

 

This position is ideal for Engineering students who want practical experience, structured learning, and the opportunity to grow into a future Quality Engineer role.

 

So, what will you be doing as a Quality Engineer Intern?

  • Quality Engineering Support – Assist Quality Engineers with day‑to‑day quality activities, investigations, and improvement efforts.
  • Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis – Support defect investigations using structured problem‑solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, basic data analysis).
  • Process & Product Quality – Help monitor quality performance, support inspections, and review process adherence.
  • Data Collection & Reporting – Collect, organize, and analyze quality data to support decision‑making and improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation & Quality Systems – Assist with quality documentation, work instructions, control plans, and records maintenance.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations teams to support quality objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement Support – Participate in CI or corrective action initiatives aimed at reducing defects and improving consistency.
  • Learning & Development – Receive hands‑on training, coaching, and exposure to quality engineering best practices.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related field).
  • Strong interest in quality engineering and problem‑solving.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing or operational environment.
  • Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn.

 

Things we consider a plus:

  • Coursework or exposure to quality tools, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with basic statistical or data analysis concepts.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, engineering projects, or internships.
  • Interest in pursuing a long‑term career in Quality Engineering.
