As a Manufacturing Manager you will lead as well as develop the manufacturing team whilst maintaining a Safety-First approach in all activities.  Your contributions will directly impact the business by cost, quality, and productivity of the product line. You will lead a team of Production Workers, Shift Managers, and the Shipping & receiving area, reporting directly to the Branch Manager.   

So, what will you be doing as a Manufactyuring Manager?

  • Leading a Safety first approach maintaining a zero accident culture. Ensures and monitors work, accident prevention and environmental protection regulations of the facility to assure a safe and productive work environment free of any liabilities or defects.
  • Develop and manage within the manufacturing budget. Responsible to execute daily production plan.
  • Monitors Quality and quantity of output; takes appropriate action, including shutdown of process, to prevent scrap and assists others in investigations to determine causes of quality defects.
  • Optimize manufacturing efficiency through flexible manufacturing structure, improvement through Lean Manufacturing methods within operations and optimize production utilization and Strategy.
  • Maintain a culture of functional and Operational Excellence, supports 5S, lean initiatives and to be a committed role model for our Company’s Values.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal capabilities and strengthen the organization (Succession Planning) through training, career development opportunities and recruiting as necessary to achieve Manufacturing objectives.
  • Adherence to internal and external Business Processes and Certifications synonymous with a large US Incorporation operating within the Automotive Industry and all other local legal requirements.
  • Fulfill assigned primary, secondary and or tertiary deputy/back-up roles as assigned and required on occasion by the business.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree of technical studies
  • Automotive experience
  • Experience in understanding financial statements
  • Experience in people management
  • Experience in project management
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to lead with targets to ensure continuously improving manufacturing performance
  • Working knowledge of operational metrics and improvement tools (VSM, PDCA, 8 wastes, line balancing, etc.)
  • Adequate experience in the use of common IT-solutions (MS Office, HFM, etc.)
  • Hands-on mentality and excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Social and intercultural competence as well as good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Commitment to 100% safety, quality and continuous improvement
  • Ability to interact positively with employees of all levels across the organization

 

Things we consider a plus

  • Experience with Seating and Lumbar support, Motors and Actuators, and Mechanical Cables.
