The Procurement function plays a critical role in supporting product programs by managing supplier relationships, coordinating sourcing activities, and ensuring materials and components are available to meet program requirements. Program Buyers work cross‑functionally with engineering, operations, and suppliers to support successful program execution.

 

This internship supports Procurement operations while strengthening the organization’s early‑career talent pipeline through hands‑on exposure to program purchasing activities.

 

As a Program Buyer Intern, you will provide administrative and coordination support to Program Buyers, helping ensure purchasing activities run smoothly across active programs. This role offers practical experience in procurement operations, program coordination, and supplier interaction within a structured, professional environment.

 

This position is ideal for students interested in procurement, supply chain, or business operations who want to learn how purchasing supports large‑scale programs and cross‑functional teams.

 

So, what will you be doing as a Program Buyer Intern?

  • Program Buyer Administrative Support – Assist Program Buyers with daily administrative tasks, tracking items, and coordinating activities across programs.
  • Documentation & Data Support – Help maintain purchasing documentation, trackers, and program‑related records.
  • Supplier Communication Support – Assist with basic supplier communications related to orders, documentation, and follow‑ups under guidance of Program Buyers.
  • Purchase Order & System Support – Support entry, tracking, and organization of purchase orders and procurement system data.
  • Program Coordination – Help track milestones, actions, and open items tied to program purchasing activities.
  • Reporting & Data Analysis – Assist with preparing basic reports or summaries related to procurement and program status.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Work with procurement, engineering, and operations teams to support program needs.
  • Learning & Development – Gain exposure to program‑based procurement processes and best practices.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, Operations, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and willingness to work with cross‑functional teams.
  • Interest in procurement or program support roles.

 

Things we consider a plus:

  • Coursework or exposure to procurement or supply chain concepts.
  • Familiarity with Excel and basic data tracking tools.
  • Experience in administrative, coordination, or operational support roles.
  • Interest in a long‑term career as a Buyer or Program Buyer.
