RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cycle count inventory of raw material, WIP, finished goods, service and obsolete parts on a daily basis. 
  • Review and update material coordinators of missing stock and the root causes and corrective actions.
  • Weekly, ensure product consumed to waste on production floor and in rework area is adjusted accordingly.
  • Verify cycle counts against inventory system.  Review, analyze, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Weekly, perform expendable packaging counts.
  • Monthly, count all customer returnable containers.
  • Perform dock audits as needed to verify supplier shipments and pack counts.
  • Log daily all cycle counting completed. Prepare appropriate spreadsheets and graphs. Analyze trends to determine problematic part numbers and/or vendors.
  • Prepare inventory adjustment documentation required and enter all necessary adjustments in BPCS.
  • Advise materials coordinators of any shortages/gains.
  • Scale count suspect bins/boxes of raw material.
  • Run daily negative report and identify any problems.
  • Investigate, reconcile and adjust parts (raw material and finished goods) which appear on the negative report.
  • Prepare appropriate documentation for physical transference of stock. Input data in BPCS system.
  • Pick or transfer service or obsolete parts as required for production.
  • Perform offsite warehousing yearly physical count.
  • Participate in all physical inventory counts.
  • Must fill in as the backup for Customs Analyst for the sales PO entries when necessary.
  • Participates actively in the requirement to retain ISO/TS16949/ISO14001 certification.
  • Responsible for knowing and upholding the H&S Policy and for working in a safe manner and reporting all unsafe or unhealthy conditions or acts.
  • Completes any other assignments, duties and projects that may be assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary training (data analytics, automotive technology, information technology)
  • One year relative experience within an ISO/TS16949 manufacturing environment.
  • Good organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Computer skills – including proficiency with MS Excel/Word
  • Knowledge of materials and capacity requirement planning (MRP) systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory / warehousing policies and procedures.
  • Forklift license prefered or the ability to train.
  • Weight scale operation required.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
