PURPOSE:

This is a CONTRACT position:

This position reports to the Quality Director. The Quality System Engineering candidate will crunch data and report the North America and Global Quality metrics and trends. The candidate will perform administrative functions of the Quality Department with the Quality Director and the VP of Quality. The candidate does not need an Engineering background but must have a bachelor’s Degree with solid communication skills, critical thinking, abstract thinking, and problem-solving skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility team member to represent the Quality Department.
• General customer and regulatory requirements submission and support.
• Monitoring and reporting on quality initiatives.
• Global Quality KPI analysis, monitoring and reporting.
• BOS system support: set up/archive users, provide training for new hires, set up new suppliers, communicate login details, and provide routine/mechanical tasks support.
• BOS system development and improvement.
• Assist in the Quality Administration of essential daily tasks.
• Support Supplier Development with daily tasks
• Responsible for knowing and upholding the H&S Policy, working safely, and reporting all unsafe or unhealthy conditions or acts.
• Complete any other assignments, duties and projects that may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• University Degree (B.A.Sc. Minimum, M.A.Sc. preferred)
• 2 to 3 years minimum experience in an office working environment (formal and informal e-mails, meetings as participant and host)
• Strong abilities in abstract thinking with analytical mind methodologies
• Automotive experience is preferred, but not a must
• Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written, in the English language
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Well-developed computer skills, mainly Microsoft Office.
• Proficient level in Microsoft Excel (creating functions, pivot tables and charts, and programming)
• Ability to create programs in C++, Python, or Visual Basics (preferred)
