POSITION SUMMARY

Provides Engineering leadership in the design, application and validation of Motors, Actuators and Cable systems to meet or exceed customer and market specific requirements.

METRICS

Design to Requirements, Design to meet on-time Delivery, Design to Cost, Design to Manufacture

EXPERIENCE

• 5 years minimum managerial experience in automotive industry product design and engineering. Experience in DC Motors, Actuators and Cables would be an advantage.

• Good knowledge of automotive industry procedures (APQP, FMEA, SPC, DVPR, Change management).

• Familiar with Automotive requirements for Mechatronic devices and related performance validation

• Strong communication skills and able to make technical and product presentations to customers

• Fluent in English plus a good understanding of Mandarin would be an asset

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• To develop a regional engineering team complying with current standard procedures and processes, collaborating with global product line competency centers.

• Communicate with customers, suppliers, project management and other related functional teams to develop motor, actuator and cable projects.

• Follow the product development procedure for developing projects, design for excellence including quality, manufacturing, assembly and cost.

• Comply with company regulations and manager's working assignments, willing to work overtime under high pressure when urgent project issues take place. Occasional early or late calls with global teams.

• Knowledge of seating and closure Actuators an asset

• Presentation and communication skills, problem solving skills.

• Compliance to all audit deliverables

• Support Sales and Quoting team to win new business

• Support regional VAVE activities

• Develop goals and training for team members

Compensation

Salary ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 based on experience.
