At L&P Aerospace, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interaction.

Leggett & Platt, Incorporated (NYSE: LEG) is seeking a Production Control Manager for its Kirkland, Washington branch, specializing in Aerospace tubing.  This position will report to the General Manager and assist with coordination of other management and area leads to effectively analyze optimize, plan and track all production operations, and achieve production demands. The successful candidate will be a strategic big-picture leader who empowers others to take ownership and pride in branch operations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Optimize and plan orders throughout the various production operations.
  • Continually update order progress in ERP system and adjust production schedules as needed for on-time deliveries.
  • Work with planning, manufacturing, and purchasing departments in identifying and resolving production scheduling problems.
  • Uses production planning and scheduling to limit materials shortages.
  • Develop process improvements for inventory, manufacturing, and production control systems to meet business objectives.
  • Review change orders and execute them appropriately.
  • Determine equipment, material, and manpower requirements for each production process.
  • Monitor manufacturing lead times based on equipment capacity, material availability, and manpower and advise sales department of any adjustments needed.
  • Identify and subordinate to constraints to develop plan to meet production targets on schedule and according to the set quality.
  • Establish monitoring tools and processes to identify problems with waste, inefficiencies, and inventory in production operations.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair of machines with production plan to avoid downtime or delays.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems. (EPICOR a plus)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English Language.
  • High level of attention to details and numerically oriented.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs, particularly Excel. Ability to be trained in usage of manufacturing applications.
  • Excellent responsiveness and customer focus.
  • Must be able to work overtime including weekends.

Requirements

 

  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing requirements and planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • HS Diploma or GED (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred)

Position Specifics:

This full-time permanent job is for on site at our location in Kirkland, WA. 

Work days are typically Monday through Friday

Compensation:  $85,000 - $110,000 annually with bonus
