International Customer Service Representative

Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking an International Customer Service Representative for its Home Furniture Components Unit (HFCU). The ICSR ensures we meet or exceed commitments to our customers through efficient management of the order to cash processes, effective communication of information, and prompt resolution of customer issues.

 

The position may be based at our Corporate Office in Carthage, Missouri or at one of our other HFCU locations. Regardless of where you’re seated, you’ll be the primary point of contact for customers all over the world.

 

We’re looking for a diplomatic individual with a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, sense of urgency, and business acumen. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have excellent written & oral communication skills.

 

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate with manufacturing locations and review all elements of order fulfillment from order entry to invoicing to ensure customer expectations are met
  • Manage customer experience by clearly communicating any issues that might impact our ability to meet customers’ expectations in terms of product, delivery, documentation & other critical measurements
  • Manage customer inquiries and act as “voice of the customer”
  • Maintain customer master data and product price files to keep information up to date for seamless customer support
  • Review Accounts Receivable for accurate reconciliation and assist in collection efforts
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and requirements
  • Work well in a team and promote a positive working relationship with coworkers and customers
  • Identify activities to continually improve the process of providing innovative and efficient customer care

 

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize high volume of correspondence and projects is required
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Basic familiarity with logistics and Import/Export a plus
  • Ability to understand and communicate a defined level of technical information
  • Must be able to work seamlessly with businesses and cultures all over the globe
  • Second language skills a plus
