  1. TITLE:  Logistics Operations Coordinator

 

  1. BASIC DESCRIPTION:  Handling daily operation work (primarily related to transportation/logistics)

 

  1. RELATIONSHIPS:

 

    1. Reports To:  Director in Hong Kong
    2. Supervises:   None
    3. Interacts with:
      1. Internal:  Corporate Logistics support staff, Managers, Office Supervisor, Corporate and Branch AP in US, Operation team in Shanghai, and operation team in Europe.
      2. External:   Vendors, Customers

 

  1. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Assist Director in Hong Kong

Coordinate E2Open Amber Road system on information input.

Maintain close coordination with L&P global offices as needed.

Maintain shipment record report.

Maintain ISF filing and Pre-Alert Documentation.

Coordinate shipments for all designated L&P branches and provide high quality customer service, this would include monitoring costs associated with these shipments & updating systems accordingly.

Coordinate suppliers in Southeast Asia.

Coordinator with be responsible to identify and problems or delays related to the transportation and report in a timely manner.

Coordinate with service providers including ocean carriers and freight forwarders.

Coordinator will be responsible to initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels and verify the implementation of such solutions.

 

  1. AUTHORITY:

 

The Logistics Operations Coordinator has the authority to carry out the activities and maintain the relationships specified in this job description.

 

  1. ACCOUNTABILITY:

 

Logistics Operations Coordinator is accountable to Director for the performance of the duties and responsibilities in the job description.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum two years’ experience in logistics/transportation operations, and/or assistant function. Freight forwarding and shipping line experience is a must.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Mathematical aptitude
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Knowledge of principles and processes required for moving goods via ocean, air, rail, and road including relative costs and benefits

 

MINIMAL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • New Hire Orientation
  • E2Open Amber Road systems training will be provided
