As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to lead the material handlers and coordinate the flow of materials from the warehouse to the production cells in a timely and accurate manner. You will also provide on-the-job training to associates as necessary and assist with functions such as selecting, receiving, shipping, inventory, etc., as assigned. 

So, what will you be doing as a Warehouse Supervisor?

  • Work with Supply Chain Manager to prepare shift work schedules, lead and expedite workflow processes, establish processes and procedures, and implement and/or train on new procedures.
  • Lead functions such as selecting products and delivering to the production cells, etc. as assigned.
  • Provide on-the-job training to associates within assigned area(s) on the responsibilities of the position to ensure accurate processes and methods are followed and train on the proper use of equipment
  • Move or otherwise handle cases, boxes, and/or pallets of fabric and/or components and related products as identified on order forms, in the quantities specified.
  • Review paperwork (i.e., product orders, receiving/unloading, shipping, etc.) for accuracy of information and to ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Monitoring the Delivery Forecast Report to ensure customer orders are processed and delivered on time.
  • Operate power industrial equipment such as a forklift, long-tongued electric pallet jack, high-extender high-lift, and other moving equipment (i.e., walkers).
  • Lift products weighing between 30-60 lbs. frequently and products weighing up to 75 lbs. occasionally, while ensuring and maintaining a safe work environment.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in warehouse management.
  • Strong business focus and demonstrated ability to act in partnership with the management team.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to increase accuracy and optimize resources.
  • Experienced in motivating associates by using constructive criticism and positive reinforcement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent collaborator and team member
  • Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working experience with ERP and WMS.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety pertaining to material handlers
  • Ability to operate HILO safely and /or train others successfully
