REPORTS TO:

Buyer

 

SUMMARY:

Transports miscellaneous materials and supplies between suppliers and Genesis Seating.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Drives Genesis Seating truck to locations defined by the buyer to pick up scheduled purchased components from local suppliers.

 

Delivers unfinished components to service suppliers for completion.

 

Delivers final products to customers as required.

 

Handles other material handling related duties as required.

 

Operates the truck in a safe manner abiding by all laws and speed limits.

 

Presents a positive image to outside suppliers and customers.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must have a current, unrestricted Chauffeurs license.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as bills of lading, maps, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from other employees, or outside shipping & receiving personnel.

 

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers.

 

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
