We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a(n) Marketing Intern within our Marketing team to help support our Flooring business. Did you know Leggett & Platt Inc. is the largest manufacturer of carpet cushion and hard surface underlayment in the United States? Our Flooring businesses manufacture and distribute foam-, rubber-, and fiber-based flooring underlayment for residential and commercial use. Our flooring underlayment products provide support, cushioning, and noise reduction under virtually any finished flooring material in your home or business. If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.
As a(n) Marketing Intern you will have the opportunity to learn the marketing tools deployed by LP Flooring Products. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by creating effective marketing efforts for our customers. The team you will be working with is collaborative, creative, and values the challenging work.
So, what will you be doing as a(n) Marketing Intern?
- Create a marketing survey for LPFP customers to ascertain their perception of our marketing success and consolidate the feedback into a concise presentation along with recommendations for improvement
- Perform assessment on carpet cushion marketing including web, print, and social content vs competitors
- Create ideas for expanding our impression on the marketplace (print/digital)
- Generate ideas on how to further our marketing reach
- Assist in planning marketing needs for events such as CCA Convention
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Pursuing bachelor’s degree in marketing at an accredited university
- Entering third year of college
- Well developed oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required
- Capable of multi-tasking
- Ability to prioritize a must
