We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Quality Manager within our Quality team to help support our Hydraulics business at our Pacoma branch in Eschwege, Germany. Pacoma is one of the world's leading suppliers of hydraulic cylinders. Our cylinders are extensively used in the construction machinery industry, the automobile industry, and in engineering applications as well as in logistics and material handling. Furthermore our cylinders can also be used in agricultural and maritime applications etc. Pacoma stands out with its individual designs, its consistently superior global quality and its high-capacity production facilities. Our factory in Eschwege, Germany, can singularly handle a quarter million units per year working at normal capacity. With the opening of a dynamic modern facility in China in 2011, Pacoma is even better positioned to serve its customers with high output and convenient logistics. Our success is the product of decades of experience. Over the course of more than 40 years, we have developed, designed and produced hydraulic cylinders of nearly every possible type. Our aim of developing and maintaining long-term relationships with our customers means that you can rely on our comprehensive technical expertise and top quality innovative products. In this role, you will:
- Further development of Pacoma's quality management system (QMH). Quality manual - changes and replacement performance
- Contact person for quality issues in consultation with Sales towards customers and Purchasing towards suppliers
- Analyze defects and initiate actions to prevent defects in organizational processes for products and operations throughout the company. Checking the implementation of solutions
- Identification of quality problems in cooperation with the specialist departments
- Receiving and inspection of goods, raw material storage, precision measurement room including organization of gauge inspection and initial sample inspection
- Resolving quality deviations. Monitor handling, delivery, or assembly until the defect is corrected and the effects are verified (performance review)
- Plan, organize, conduct and document system, product and process audits. Enforce internal and external audits.
- Assigning and monitoring quality responsibilities in each department in the spirit of TQM (Total Quality Management).
- Facilitating quality management techniques APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC.
To be successful you'll need:
- Training in the industrial-technical field
- Advanced training in QA
- In-depth knowledge of quality management (ISO 9001, 14001, 50001)
- Internal auditor (ISO 9001)
- Application of quality management techniques APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC
- Experience in ISO 9001, 14001, 50001, 3834-2 and PED
- Knowledge in administration, personnel management, production engineering and in materials management
- Several years of experience in the field of quality management and as an internal auditor
