We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an Assistant Controller (m/f/d) within our Finance team to help support our Hydraulics business at our Pacoma branch in Eschwege, Germany. Pacoma is one of the world's leading suppliers of hydraulic cylinders. Our cylinders are extensively used in the construction machinery industry, the automobile industry, and in engineering applications as well as in logistics and material handling. Furthermore our cylinders can also be used in agricultural and maritime applications etc. Pacoma stands out with its individual designs, its consistently superior global quality and its high-capacity production facilities. Our factory in Eschwege, Germany, can singularly handle a quarter million units per year working at normal capacity. With the opening of a dynamic modern facility in China in 2011, Pacoma is even better positioned to serve its customers with high output and convenient logistics. Our success is the product of decades of experience. Over the course of more than 40 years, we have developed, designed and produced hydraulic cylinders of nearly every possible type. Our aim of developing and maintaining long-term relationships with our customers means that you can rely on our comprehensive technical expertise and top quality innovative products. Your responsibilities include:
- Assist in the development and implementation of controlling measures to improve efficiency and optimize costs in production
- Contribute to the analysis of key production metrics and the preparation of reports for decision-making processes
- Support the further development of product cost accounting and the assessment of product profitability
- Collaborate on the preparation and monitoring of cost center budgets and variance analyses
- Supporting the analysis of inventory levels to improve inventory management
In the future, your responsibilities will expand to include, among other things:
- Intercompany Controlling: Analysis, coordination, and further development of intra-group business relationships
- Financial planning: Collaboration on rolling forecasts and long-term planning processes
- Budgeting: Independent management of budgeting processes in close collaboration with relevant departments
- Group-wide controlling topics: Participation in group-wide projects and standards
- International responsibilities: Collaboration with international locations and subsidiaries
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus on controlling, finance or a comparable qualification - recent graduates (m/f/d) are also welcome
- First relevant practical experience in controlling
- Independent, goal- and results-oriented working style combined with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Precise working methods, assertiveness, and the ability to work under pressure
- Very good MS Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint), first experience with BI tools (e.g. Tableau) and SAP is a plus
- Good written and spoken English and German skills
