We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an Engineering Technician within our global engineering team to help support our Home Furniture business.  Our Home Furniture business brings an intense focus on the customer, innovation, world-class manufacturing capabilities, and a global footprint together to create full package solutions for the industry.  We do not make furniture.  We make furniture more comfortable.  We need the best people on our team to support our strategy, and your work will ensure people around the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

 

The Engineering Technician role supports design, integration, and validation activities for electrical systems and components for new product development and released product support. 

 

So, what will you be doing as an Engineering Technician?

  • Support development and test team product design and quality checks.
  • Prepare component test set-ups, equipment, and data collection tools.
  • Support prototype / sample activities with development team.
  • Support product validation process and document the results.
  • Assist with testing and data collection.
     

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • 1+ year of electrical experience preferred.
  • Knowledge & experience with electrical & mechanical fabrication tools, ability to machine, fabricate, elec-trical connection, measurement, and solder (electrical components) preferred.
  • Experience in handling electrical measurement equipment’s (Multimeter, Power supplies, Oscilloscope etc).
  • Communication skills:  ability to capture detailed technical information and communicate with technical teammates.
  • Independent work: Ability to work independent with limited direct supervision
