We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Vice President of Finance within our Executive team to help support our Automotive business. The Vice President of Finance is responsible for general leadership of the financial operations of Leggett & Platt Automotive. Leads the global finance function as a strategic business partner to the BU President and ALT and is responsible for driving financial performance, operational efficiency and long-term value creation. They are also accountable for the financial close accuracy and timeliness. They are the Interface between LP Corporate, uncluidng tax and risk management and LPA for all Finance business processes and financial reporting.  They oversees the monthly financial planning cycle and are responsible for the accuracy of inputs, the reasonableness of product line and overall BU projections, and communication of major changes and assumptions with senior leadership.

As the Vice President of Finance, you will:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with corporate goals and Industry dynamics. Lead global finance function as a strategic business partner to the BU President and ALT, advising of financial implications of business decisions.
  • Identify and execute continual improvement efforts for both the function and the business as a whole (processes, talent, profitability, etc.).
  • Accountable for the day-to-day deliverables including planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the business.
  • Chair the ALT Business Review meeting, ensuring complete alignment across regions, functions, and product lines for the submissin of sales and profit forecasts and related performance reporting.
  • Lead and develop a team of directors/senior managers focused on driving results, foster a culture of transparency and alignment with company core values and establish a strong global talent pool and succession planning process.
  • Key role in the global financial planning process - providing planning guidance, assessing future projections for reasonableness, headcount alignment, margin analysis and input, BU-level adjustments, planning KPIs, etc. Identfying and mitigating financial risks, commodity and customer credit exposure.
  • Optimise cashflow, working capital and capital structure, partnering with operations and supply chain to drive cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Drive the use of technology to improve efficiency

To be successful, you’ll need:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance with CMA or CPA certification or equivalent, Masters level degree preferred
  • 10+ years in Senior Finance roles
  • Multi country leadership responsibility
  • Global Finance leadership experience is a plus
  • Automotive Finance experience
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuatin priorities and deadlines
