As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to lead highly diversified team that will focus on innovation and product development.  In this exciting, highly impactful senior leadership role, you and your team will lead evolution of our automotive business’ current product suite in accordance with and understanding of automotive technology trends.  You will work with a highly motivated team of cross functional experts to achieve collective success in positioning the company for long term growth.  This position will be on a Hybrid schedule.

 

Position Summary: Suporting  the project team by review, design, development and integration of electronic systems including hardware, software and requirements integration/analysis.

 

So, what will you be doing as a Sr. Systems Engineer?

 

  • Cascade company vision/mission beliefs, behaviours and safety vision to reporting teams and acknowledge team members evidencing support.
  • Complete various engineering efforts to design, prototype and validate product design solutions in support of customer and internal core team timing requirements.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers on technical issues, and lead efforts to ensure understanding of their needs and resulting delivery of commitments from LPA.
  • Active particpation on program core teams with proactive presentation of defined engineering deliverables defined in the APD portion of the C2P process.
  • Develop engineered product solutions to meet customer needs through requirements analysis, system integration, development and validation.
  • Establish and maintain adequate records of technical information, process methods/std’s., design and program details/info., and records to support/procure reliable patent actions.
  • Ensure products are reviewed for best practice from a Design for assembly (DFA) and Design for Ergonomics (DFE) perspective to ensure design delivery to product cost targets.
  • Ensures all needed compliance and audit deliverables are met.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

 

  • University level Bachelor of Engineering degree or validated equivalent in the appropraite field of Engineering.
  • Preferred 2 years experience in an automotive electronic system engineering role.
  • Experienced with project launch cycles for automotive.
  • Requirements capture and analysis, software/hardware integration, presentation skills, engineering calculations and analysis (Ex: WCCA), problem solving skills, knowledge of automotive APQP terms.
