As a Hardware Engineer you will have the opportunity to support cutting edge projects in the research, design, and development of electronic hardware.  Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by keeping up at the cutting edge of technology.  The team you will be working with is close-knit, and values challenging each other to push our products


So, what will you be doing as a Hardware Engineer?

  • Researching, designing, and developing electronic hardware including schematic design, design for EMC, and hardware layout
  • Completing various engineering efforts to design, prototype, and validate product design solutions in support of customer requirements
  • Communicate regularly cross-functionally to ensure hardware requirements are integrated and aligned with engineering from a system requirements stance
  • Problem solve for technical issues
  • Actively participate in program core teams with deliverables defined in the process
  • Creatively develop engineered product solutions to meet customer needs ensuring compliance to IPC and other regulatory standards, using tools such as worst-case circuit analysis, thermal, electrical and EMC simulations
  • Maintain adequate records of technical information
  • Ensure products are reviewed for best practices from a Design for Excellence (DFX) perspective including Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Cost (DFC), Design for Testability (DFT), Design for Reliability (DFR) and Design for Ergonomics (DFE) to ensure delivery to product targets


To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering or validated equivalent
  • 2 years experience in automotive embedded hardware product design role
  • Experience with product launch cycles
  • Knowledge of schematic design, layout design, and design for EMC
  • Strong presentation skills 
  • Engineering calculations and analysis (Ex. WCCA and simulations)
  • Knowledge of APQP
  • Keen problem solving skills
