As a VP of Fabrication you will have the opportunity to oversee the day-to-day company fabrication manufacturing operations.  Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by defining and implementing manufacturing strategy, structure, and processes.  The team you will be working with is collaborative, innovative, and values challenging work and diversity of thought.  The ideal candidate would be local to one of these 4 locations, Conover, NC, Newnan, GA, Aberdeen, MD, or Fort Smith, AR.

So, what will you be doing as a VP of Fabrication?

  • Partners with the fabrication leadership team to instill a strong safety culture to drive world-class occupational and process safety performance.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all phases of fabrication operations.
  • Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions.
  • Collaborates with sales, demand/supply planning, engineering, safety, quality, and other cross functional teams to proactively develop companywide manufacturing product and service solutions.
  • Coordinate support for fabrication throughout the business.
  • Interview, hire, train, and mentor the fabrication leadership team.
  • Provide regular performance updates to the senior leadership team.
  • Motivates, outlines and delegates methods to surpass all company goals.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate staffing on fabrication lines.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate indirect labor staffing.
  • Assures standard work procedures are followed and share best practices across the business to maintain continuity.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance programs are implemented consistently across the network.
  • Participate and support in autonomous care events and practices. 
  • Be a continuous improvement evangelist.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or a related field
  • Ability to travel 50%
  • 10 years supervisory experience in operations or related field
  • Multi team management experience
