We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Maintenance Supervisor within our foam pouring team to help support our bedding business. As a Maintenance Supervisor you will have the opportunity to lead, direct, and supervise the pouring maintenance teammates. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring that a section of the facilities, layout and machinery used to produce new and existing materials and goods run to their maximum efficiency and output. So, what will you be doing as a Maintenance Supervisor?
- Responsible for the leading, directing, and supervising of pouring maintenance teammates, this includes scheduling and project management of current and future maintenance projects
- Maintain and repair Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic systems and equipment
- Assist in running an efficient maintenance operation which can fulfil operational and customer demand and meet set targets
- Manage maintenance projects
- Responsible for the safety of individuals on the team and that of those impacted by any maintenance activity
- Understand and work in accordance with the company’s quality requirements
- Perform effective diagnosis of breakdowns and timely repair of equipment to maximize availability
- Perform scheduled planned preventative maintenance in accordance to minimized unplanned downtime
- Assist in acquiring necessary materials to carry out scheduled installations, repairs, and/or project work
- Record and document all work carried out on all equipment on both paper and electronic systems as is required
- Analysis of issues to root cause and development of countermeasures, improvement actions and/or suggestions to improve
- Control and source maintenance tools, equipment and spares
- Document breakdowns, identifying root causes and remedial action to help identify and resolve recurring issues
- Collaborating with vendors and customers
- Maintains weekly timecards approvals and ongoing vacation and other requests for time utilizing the time management system.
- Understanding and maintaining high standards
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- 5 years of Maintenance experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written forms of communication.
Things we consider a plus:
5 years of leadership experience in a production/maintenance environment.
