We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an Account Representative within our Sales team to help support our bedding  business.  Did you know we have been revolutionizing the sleep industry since 1883?  That’s right!  In fact, we hold the original patent on a spiral steel coil bed spring, filed way back in 1885.  Since then, we have been an industry leader in guaranteeing you get the best sleep possible.  If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

 

As an Account Representative you will have the opportunity to support the sales of the company with a primary focus in the upholstered furniture industry.  The team you will be working with is collaborative and innovative, and values challenging work and diversity of thought. 

So, what will you be doing as an Account Representative?

  • Meet and exceed sales goals by maintaining current accounts and developing additional growth within these accounts.
  • Continuously evaluate the market for new business and customer opportunities
  • Partner with the ECS manufacturing facilities to respond to customer needs and to build customer relationships.
  • Provide solution-based support to existing and potential customers.
  • Manage all aspects of customer expectations through being the primary point of contact at your serviced accounts.
  • Support and assist all inter-company team functions related to sales: credit, manufacturing, quality, customer service, etc.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business-related field (preferred)
  • 3-5 years of successful sales experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and customer/supplier relationship principles
  • Daily travel within the NC region (80% of the time)
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office suite

 

Things we consider a plus:

  • Sales experience in furniture and/or fabric industry
