We, at Leggett & Platt Incorporated, are searching for a Controller within our Finance team to help support our Automotive business. So, what will you be doing as a Branch/Plant Controller?
- This role is the Leader in the financial planning cycle - providing various inputs and performing reviews in the areas of revenue, material, headcount, plant expenses, and working capital (following standard financial planning process flows).
- Increase the cost competitiveness and overall Branch/Plant performance.
- Leads the full scope of accounting and finance processes for a branch or collection of branches.
- Leading role in the financial close and reconciliation process, accountable for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure that local statutory reporting and tax authority requirements are metEnsures that policy and procedures adhere to a system of internal controls and serves as the lead for internal and external audit requirements.
- Serves as a primary point of contact with Corporate Accounting, addressing questions and reporting needs.
- Leads, develops, and coaches local accounting and finance team.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Post-secondary degree from an accredited University in Accounting, Finance, Business or related; Professional designation (CMA, CPA); MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of finance and accounting experience in a industrial manufacturing environment in Mexico, with at least 5 years of managerial experience. Automotive experience preferred.
- Experience in financial close, internal controls, internal and external audit management, ad hoc analysis, management reporting, accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), taxation, treasury, working capital, payroll, cash flow management, costing and financial planning (forecasting, budget, long range planning).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and leadership abilities, employee development experience
