As a(n) Continous Improvement Manager you will have the opportunity to Foster a culture of innovation, accountability and continous learning.  Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by improv operational performance, reduced waste, enhanced quality, and sustainable cost savings that support long=term growht and competitiveness..  The team you will partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Suply Chain, and Leadership teams to identify opportunities and values integrity, collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to continous improvement.. 

 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The CI (Continuous Improvement) Manager is responsible for developing and implementing continuous
improvement initiatives across the manufacturing facility to drive improved operational performance. This position
works to achieve a sustainable continuous improvement culture at the branch. This role works closely with key
leaders within the facility and cross-functional partners. Makes sure that Operations are nunning with the best skilled employees. 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSABILITIES: 

  • Leading a Safety-first approach maintaining a zero-accident culture. Ensures and monitors work, accident prevention
    and environmental protection regulations of the facility to assure a safe and productive work environment free of
    any liabilities or defects.
  • Develop and manage within the CI budget. Manage total facility CI initiatives and progress to completion.
    Responsible to quickly adapt to financial gaps through adjusting timing of improvement plans, creating additional
    improvements and overall supporting meeting the branch financial plan.
  • Develops Operational Excellence annual plan with a focus on Lean Tools that drive labor redeployment efficiencies,
    OEE improvements and shop floor space gains.
  • Maintain a culture of functional and operational excellence, supports 5S, lean initiatives, 6 Sigma projects, and to
    be a committed role model for our Company’s values.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal capabilities and strengthen the organization (Succession Planning)
    through training, career development opportunities and recruiting as necessary to achieve Manufacturing
    objectives
  • Ensure updated qualification Matrix, follow up of qualification changes due to process changes and employee
    development. Responsible for all in house training related to production. Responsible for onboarding new
    employees, to assess the employees' skills and abilities before assigning them to the correct working station and to
    ensure that employees are able to keep up with the speed and pace of the operation. 
  •  Support customer claim analysis, root cause identification, problem resolution, communication flow within
    manufacturing.
  • Support Manufacturing organization to analyze and eliminate deviations in the manufacturing area.
  • identified through LPA, Product & Process Audits. 
  • Very good problem analysis and problem solving skills
  • Very good communication skills with all levels
  • Ability to share knowledge and teach others
  • Technical understanding.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 EDUCATIONAL REQUIRMENTS, CERTIFICATIONS:     
  • bachelor's or Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Lean Management, or similar.                                                                                               EXPERIENCE:     
  •  Minimum of 5 years experience in hands-on operational roles in supply chain management, engineering or manufacturing.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Automotive experience
  • Experience in applying Lean Thinking principles in a manufacturing environment Experience in project management                                        KNOWLEDGE:     
  • Strong understanding of LEAN principles and methodologies and implementing these
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma
  • Ability to develop focused team activities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Very good organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of MS office
