Treasury Risk Analyst

Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our Finance team.  This highly visible position is needed to add value, expertise, and significant guidance for foreign currency and risk management for our global network of branches and Senior Executive leadership.  This role will report to the Director of Treasury. 

 

What you will be doing:

The optimal candidate must be comfortable performing a wide range of responsibilities, including execution of routine, detailed tasks; thinking broadly and more creatively; and supporting related workstreams.  The candidate must have a track record that demonstrates sound judgement and strong personal initiative, as well as the resolve to thrive in a challenging role involving complex situations. Inherent in the position is exposure to a wide variety of company stakeholders, and use of that exposure to make strategic recommendations and decisions involving foreign currency and company strategy.  

 

Some of the tasks include:

  • Coordinate currency exchanges for branches and corporate teams
  • Gather, analyze, and prepare recommendations related to global FX exposure
  • Prepare written and verbal presentations for Senior Management
  • Work strategically with Relationship banks to develop and implement hedging strategies which align with Company goals
  • Research industry and market developments to identify relative value opportunities
  • Monitor and implement changes in regulatory requirements
  • Strong sense of ownership of risk portfolio
  • Maintain flexible working hours to execute FX strategy around the globe
  • Develop, vet, and execute the strategy for repatriation objectives

 

We’re looking for someone with:

  • BA/BS Degree in Finance or Accounting with 3 or more years of relevant Treasury experience
  • A firm understanding of foreign exchange markets, best execution standards and practices, and accounting standards.
  • Interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels of the organization.  The professional presence to represent the company in all facets of the position.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong business acumen.  High analytical and technical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Capability to work independently and in a variety of team environments.

 

Location: 

This is a remote position for a candidate located in relative proximity to the Carthage, MO area. The location for this position is flexible, however travel to Leggett & Platt’s corporate office in Carthage, MO must be easily accessible, within a few hours’ drive….
