We at Leggett & Platt are seeking a Supply Planning Analyst to join our Bedding Group at 309 N. McGregor, Carthage, MO. This is an opportunity to join a team responsible for the supply chain in one of the largest and most profitable divisions of our Fortune 500 company.

 

This role is ideal for a supply chain candidate who has a foundation in master scheduling concepts and wants to build expertise in planning, scheduling and cross-functional collaboration. Involved in raw material forecasting and inventory management. This will require some flexibility and ability to pivot at times. As key responsibilities are subject to change based on the needs and environment of the business.

 

So what will you be doing as a Supply Planning Analyst?

 

  • Master Scheduling Support
    • Assist in maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and ensure alignment with customer demand and capacity.
    • Track production schedules to reflect changes in demand, supply or manufacturing capacity.
    • Prepare reports to schedule adherence and identify potential risks to delivery timelines.
  • Supply Planning Execution
    • Generate and maintain supply planning data in ERP / excel databases
    • Support inventory analysis to balance service levels with working capital targets
    • Help identify short term capacity constraints and escalate issues to management
  • Cross Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with demand planning, operations and procurement teams to support planning activities.
    • Provide schedule and supply visibility to production and distribution teams
    • Participate in S&OP meetings by preparing data and reports
  • Analytics and Continuity Improvement
    • Monitor KPI’s such as schedule adherence, service levels and inventory accuracy
    • Conduct basic root cause analysis on supply disruptions or missed schedules
    • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline planning activities.

 

To be successful in the role you will need:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Finance or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Supply Planning.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application.
  • Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all cross functional teams, including operations, procurement, sales, demand planning, new product development, finance, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) required.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to challenging and changing priorities.
  • Highly proficient analytical and technical skills in MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze large and multi-dimensional data sets using Excel, Power Query and other analysis tools.
  • Experience in MRP environment strongly preferred.
