Staff Accountant II

As a Bedding Staff Accountant, you will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of business units to help drive greater results.  Your contributions will have an impact on the business by using analysis and preparation of data for them to use to make decisions.  You will participate in the month end closing process, forecasting, reporting and analysis all while keeping the SOX control framework in mind.

So, what will you be doing as Staff Accountant II? 

• Prepare and enter journal entries to ensure all revenues and expenses are properly recorded
• Assist in the preparation of all monthly financial reports, including P&Ls and departmental actual vs. forecast statements
• Provide support to all groups of Domestic Bedding
• Analyze margins and review pricing

• Complete month/quarterly analysis and schedules

• Assist with forecasting and supplemental forecasting information
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
• Support internal and external audits
• Special projects as requested

To be successful in this role, you’ll need: 

• 3-5 years accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Accounting/GAAP knowledge required
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
