It is the responsibility of the Quality Systems Manager to provide support and direction for the Quality Management System Process. It is the responsibility of the Quality Systems Manager to ensure the product and services produced at Branch One conform to all the established requirements and expectations of our customers. The Quality Systems Manager is the designated management representative for the ISO 9001:2015.

 

So, what will you be doing as a Quality Systems Manager?

 

  • Take action to prevent non-conformities related to the product produced, services provided or the ISO 9001:2015 Management System.
  • Identify and stop further processing of non-conformances related to products, processes, or the quality system.
  • Make suggestions for improvement and verify the implementation of solutions.
  • Know the location of and understand control plans, work instructions and specifications.

 

  • Assure that Branch One meets Corporate Quality Assurance guidelines.
  • Oversee that the calibration system is maintained.
  • Oversee the paperless system (Intelex and Infinity).
  • Periodically inspect new products from machines.
  • Verifies that raw material specifications are met.
  • Actively supporting new product development initiatives is cooperation with Corporate R & D and Bedding Manufacturing Departments.
  • Actively participates in the Raw Material Qualification process.
  • Review customer complaints, develop and implement solutions.
  • Maintain ISO 9001:2015 Internal Audit Team.
  • Schedules internal audits and provide feedback to BLT/Branch on any findings.
  • Analyze and resolve quality issues.
  • Initiates corrective action to improve manufacturing processes and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervises Quality Systems Technicians such as performing salary reviews, screenings, hiring and training.
  • Assist Quality Systems Technicians in their tasks when needed.
  • Responsible for Quality Impact.
  • Works in cooperation with manufacturing manager to streamline initiatives to improve all manufacturing processes.
  • In addition, the Quality Systems Manager performs any other tasks related to the operation of this Branch as directed by the Branch Manager. This position may require occasional overtime and travel.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related/comparable field or equivalent experience in place of degree 
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in use of computer software.
  • Proficient knowledge of Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing Resource Planning, ISO 9001:2015 and Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) concepts.
  • Ability to analyze processes or problems and develop solutions utilizing team concepts to drive to the root cause of problems.
  • Ability to facilitate group interactions, including dealing with conflicts.
  • Intimate knowledge of the manufacturing process.
  • Product familiarity, including the product structures.
